Will Ellison retains National Singles title

As you will see Will won the National Singles Championship for the second time in a row and becomes only the third person after James Toop and and some guy called Wayne Enstone to reach 6 consecutive finals.

It really does look like an amazing game and the Twitter feed (there is a link in the article) certainly is worth reading even though you know the outcome! Well done Will, and don't forget which team you play for in the National Club knockout!

Winchester Fives Championship - change of venue

Malvern, Sunday March 13th 2016

Players who are planning well ahead should note organiser Harry Akerman’s announcement that the Barnes Bridge (Winchester Fives Championship) is going to be moved from Sedbergh School to Malvern College for the 2016 championship. The reason for this is that Malvern will not be able to host it in 2017 due to building work going on and so Sedbergh will host it that year. The ladies competition will still be held in Sedbergh for 2016.

That leaves the Barnes Bridge calendar looking like this:

2016 – Malvern (March 13th)
2017 – Sedbergh

Entry forms and details for the 2016 championship (current holders Dan Grant and Dan Tristao pictured above) will follow in the new year, but potential players are advised to mark the change in their diaries now.
